Truth Is...I'm an addict!

I've been holding on to this secret for quite some time.  No one really knows because I try to hide my high! I'm an addict.....I'm addicted to watching television!

I have to have at least 3 hours of it a day. There's an anxiousness that exudes over me when I don't get my daily fix. It's like I'm lost and I feel like I've missed out on something if I don't see my shows!

Help me please! Somebody!

I flip the channels back and forth between commercial breaks. I'm finding that when I get to work in the morning I'm hung over and I can't function....I wonder if they notice......sometimes when I'm starring at my computer, all  I can think about is the show I've seen the night before or what will happen on my next venture with my drug of choice, whether it be Scandal, Chicagolicious, Don't Sleep, etc.

Seriously though I have a problem. I'm trying to ween myself from it...and I watch a little bit of everything too!

I'm only telling you this because there is something that we all feel we can't live without or are addicted too. For some it really is drugs and alcohol. For you it may be shopping, playing videogames or online games, binge eating, exercising, tattooing and piercing your body! Whatever it may be we all have a vice. Truth is we need to step away from these addictions because one day it may all be gone. Look at the people who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy (you're probably thinking she's drifting with her thoughts). For those individuals that were addicted to watching television like me, they're sitting in the dark with no electricity and damaged homes. While you have your shopping addiction, they can't even go buy a gallon of milk or a loaf of bread.

Truth is we all need to reevaluate ourselves and our habits! The world around us is changing, all of the plight you use to see on TV is happening closer to home than you would think.Marinate on that!
