This week let's find solace in being goal-oriented and walking in the direction of our purpose. Take a few minutes right now and write down two goals....
- One thing you want to accomplish this week
- One thing you want to accomplish by Thanksgiving
For both of your goals brainstorm ways you will reach it. Those items brainstormed will become your goal objectives. The biggest step of all is acting on those objectives. Whatever your two goals let them be things that are in the direction of your life's purpose. As an example this week I want to accomplish creating an outline for service learning project I have in mind. It is an attainable goal for this week and it's the direction of my life's purpose.
If you are still finding your purpose maybe your goal for the week is seeking what that purpose is and one of your objectives is to pray about it....
Tyrese poses this question in his book, "Getting Out of Your Way," 'Are you a person with no boundaries or a person longing for a greater purpose?" If you're like myself, your answer is longing for a greater purpose. To long for it, is one thing, but to seek it is another.
So find solace today through seeking purpose and setting goals.
