(Monday Motivation)
In our house there is always a new coffee table read. This month is 100 Ways to Happiness by Dr. Timothy J. Sharp. Dr. Sharp's advice is very adaptable for a busy lifestyle which most of us have and struggle to find time for ourselves. He suggests we incorporate a Happy Hour into our lives weekly. Sounds good right?! Sharp's definition of "happy hour," doesn't include alcohol.
Here's Dr. Sharp's definition:
"My definition of a happy hour is spending 60 minutes engaging in any activity which you find pleasurable and satisfying. There is no need for a special occasion or reason to enjoy yourself.....start planning them into your schedule on a regular basis. Make sure you treat them with the same importance as you would a meeting with your boss or an appointment with your most important client."
Before now we've talked about cuddling up with a good book, watching a movie, and much more but now is the time be motivated the whole week through for something fun and entertaining. Schedule something fun for you and a pal to do on Thursday of this week, don't wait til the week (unless you just have to) and be motivated by that all week through!
