First off excuse my lateness for this discussion got a tad behind lol but....
Sooooooooooooooooo much has happened with these crazy Duncans in these chapters so lets just summarize first
We find out...
- What really happened the night trevor died
- That rio is gay
- Harris is supposedly having an affair
- Harris also hits London
- London is defintely having an affair with a sexy italian man named tony
- LC regular shipment fell through and begins to do a deal with Alejando in California
- Orlando be getting "some" every other day and pays loads for it and even fell for a chick named Ruby
- Paris...smh what didnt she do? Slept with Miguel TWICE *Alejandro's son* and also killed the poor man-yup LC was mad about that!!!
- LC sends Rio to L.A well..to basically die
- That LC basically forced Harris to work for him and gives him A MILLION FREAKIN DOLLARS!
- Oh yea they IN THE DRUG BUSINESS!
- Alejandro's/LC shipment was hijacked and his roadster and drugs stollen
- Paris is the family's Hit woman
- And LC put a gun to Paris' head
- When did u realize the Duncans were more than what meets the eye?
- Orlando once paid Maria $10000 for night of pleasure. Do you think a night with anyone is worth that much money?
- What did you think of Orlando and his relationship with Ruby?
- Was LC homophobic? Did he treat Rio differently than his other children?
- How long did it take you to figure out the secret behind LC's car?
I think I realized when the Duncans were CRAZY was partially when Orlando is dropping all this money on hoes but really in chapter 25 when we learn that it is actually a drug business and LC straight shot and killed a guy in front of Harris and makes this comment "Welcome to the family. Now, let's get something to eat, because I'm famished. Killing a man really helps you build up an appetite, you know?", forced Harris to leave his job and come work for him, and then hands him an million dollar check....Now thats some ish!!!
I dont think anyone is worth that kinda money for one night....except Channing Tatum.!
I think Orlando is really falling for Ruby, you can really tell that theres something about Ruby just gets him going and not just physically but emotionally and mentally.
I wouldn't say LC is homophobic but that he is ashamed of his own son being gay and he definitely treats Rio differently. I mean he sent him to Detroit to woo a man for business and then sends him to L.A. with a one way ticket (although Harris bout a two way for him instead of LC's orders) to potentially die with ZERO HESITATION. That blew me I can't believe he did that.
And then puts a gun to his own daughter's head. I mean I really didnt think LC was this Gangsta for real...
And paris?? Good Lord I have no words for that child..Something is seriously wrong with her, She needs Jesus!
Thoughts, comments people, on all of this mess?
1. I realized the Duncans were more than meets the eye when all the kids were upset that LC promoted Orlando to takeover and lead the company. Their reaction told it all that there was more to it than just expensive cars at a dealership. Then the fact that Rio's job is to man a nightclub...um, that's pretty suspect. Yea you want to mingle with your customers but if you're just selling cars then I don't know why you would need to be there...
ReplyDelete2. Even if I had 10G's I wouldn't spend on a night of pleasure. Shoot I'd take that money and pleasure myself alright...had is spread all out on the bed rolling in it...forget paying a Ruby or a Magic Mike...Do you know what I could do with 10 G's!?!? Spending all that money on call girls is going to back fire, don't believe me just watch! Lol!
3. I agree! Orlando is falling for Ruby but so much so that he is doing the main thing he said he didn't want to do. He's letting her come between him and his work. She's put him some compromising positions since she's been on the scene. To tell you the truth I really don't trust her. She pops in then she's out...come on now, a real ho gon stay in the game if she need the money like Ruby claim she need this money to send back home to her people. And she illegal working too...something is not right....but we soon shall see.
4. LC is straight wrong. No matter what or how your kids act you're supposed to love them. I mean we can tell he treats all the kids different. Look at how he differentiates between London and Paris, like one is better than the other...or his comparison of Orlando to Vegas to Junior..in one of the early chapters he barely acknowledges Rio as one of the boys lol. London, Harris, Paris, and Orlando each have commented that LC would never make one of the girls do what Rio did in Detroit so why else is he doing this?! Because he is homophobic and ashamed of his gay son! Too bad for LC cause he just sent this fool to die and you know Chippy gon whoop that arse!
5. That whole story about losing the Roadster in a poker game, I didn't believe it from the start. I'm like is this a metaphor for something else. But you have to admit, hiding and smuggling the drugs in the cars is a darn good cover up.
Finding out that Paris was sent away to learn how to be more of a hitwoman...whoa dere! That threw me!
Forget her crazy high strong self...I'm more concerned with London and this affair with Italian Tony...and what about that guy who just keeps blowing up Harris' phone about deals and coming to work for his families firm...something is bound to happen and be interconnected on that front...
And the million dollar question: When is Vegas going to show up?
