Chapters 5-14
Hey, it has been a minute since we talked about the lovely yet crazy Duncan family! We've jumped ahead some ended with chapter 14. So much has happened and that leaves a lot to discuss. So, let's jump right to it!
Those Duncan sisters...London and Paris....shake my head, shake my head....I knew it, I knew it! So we have uncovered a truth behind their love hate relationship and it is over a man.
What are your thoughts on Paris and London's relationship? Do you think the incident with London's college sweetheart is the only thing that has them on edge with each other?
I think they are sisters whom had a disagreement but it can be fixed. If it came down to it, I bet London would kill for Paris even with the way she treats her. Something else is bound to happen between the two sisters.
London discussed dating outside of her race in one of the chapters and how she was disobeying her father's wishes. Would your parents be disappointed that you were dating outside of your race or social status? This seems to be running theme with the Duncan children. London marries a lawyer because LC advised he be either a lawyer or doctor, Paris was trying to date someone affluent, and Orlando won't keep a woman around for the sake of a relationship interfering with business. What are your thoughts on that? Would you abide by those rules, sort of a modern-day arranged marriage?
I sure wouldn't...love is suppose to conquer all and I think Orlando has met his match with Ruby....
What do you make of the overseas distributors? Could one of the kids be sabotaging the family business?
Poor Trevor...she treated him to "nice" night in the bathroom of a club in Brooklyn and then he gets killed...smh...This murder doen't make sense. I need more details. Could his death have been a warning for Paris or just plain wrong place, wrong time. I'm sure the good councilman will catch up with the family in due time. What do you think?
Lastly, Chippy. I like her character but I want more. From every scene she's in, I get the sense that she is ill. I hope she doesn't not die by the end of the book...

Paris and london...like you said...smh...at them because that is crazy. I do think that is the main thing their relationship is like in addition to london being jealous of Paris' looks and confidence and her and LC's relationship i think all of that put together really built up over the years and she is the type to hold grudges for a looonnnnggg time. Hopefully they can get it together but I think something is going to spark between them and things will blow up big kind of like how she slapped her in the living room that could have really turned bad if her family was there to hold them back....
ReplyDeleteMy family wouldnt mind dating out my race, my dad would prob have a problem with it well a white man that is...he claims he has nothing against them but his comments speak louder than that...actually one of my sisters is married to a white man and like i said his comments tell all regardless of what he claim to say about it but I wouldnt care because love is love and love doesnt have a color.....just saying
someone is defintitely trying to destroy the duncan dealership business we just need to find out who?
Yea i agree with u are ...poor trevor and this murder doesnt make sense but I have a feeling that it will be an important factor with happenings later in the book..we shall see you already know some stuff is going to pop off with councilman smh....
finally...you looking for chippy im looking for rio and vegas? whats up with them? they part of the family
and oh sorry one more thing lol..but did u catch the part when LC said london and harris been married for 5 years?....which means they been living in the same house for 5 years as a married couple with a child? wtf?! that just dont seem right to me
